After a year of talks, the Ministry of Public Works and the University of Padua signed in July 26, 2010, a memorandum of understanding under which the two structures undertake on the one hand to facilitate cultural exchanges in the training and research sectors, and to develop on the other hand joint programs.

Immediately, they set to work updating the training programs of the NASPW and exchange on the admission procedures to the School. The general orientation is to follow the principles applied at the University of Padua deciding then that the tests of the entrance examination will be the same as those proposed to the candidates of Padua and that the program of training of Bac + 5 level delivered in Cameroon and promoted under the name of "Master in Engineering" (MEng) will correspond to that followed by Italian students enrolled in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Padua.

The two institutions do not waste time in the course of the academic year 2010-2011 to recruit a hundred students who should benefit from this cooperation, thanks to the mobility of Italian teachers to Cameroon. Thus, if the option of a mixed teaching staff is choosen, 70% of the lecturers come from the University of Padua. At the same time, the number of students recruited for the following academic years will be increased to 185.

Two years later, the NASPW and the University of Padua agree on the need that the reinforcement of the Cameroonian human capital could not be limited to the initial training and concern only students who leave high school. Indeed, training in the Science and Engineering sectors must also be offered to individuals with a university undergraduate degree who are interested in continuing their studies in an initial or continuous training program.

For this, on December 26, 2012, is diffused the first notice of entrance examination addressed to young people and people with professional activity interested in offering specialized Master courses in "Eco-construction and management of real estate projects", "Waste Management", "Water Resources Management and Sanitation", "Solar Energy Technologies". 470 candidates will be selected and 75% of them will register and actively follow the didactic activities jointly delivered by the University of Padua and the NASPW. In the following years, new students will be newly selected as part of these same Masters and another Master's degree in "Structure and Geotechnics" will be proposed.

One of the peculiarities of these training courses is partly online and partly face-to-face, thus taking the name of "Master blended". At the same time, at the end of these specialized Master's courses, the cameroonian students obtain a double degree: a Master diploma of universitario di I° livello is awarded by the University of Padua at the end of the 1st year of study, while the NASPW issues a Master's degree at the end of the training.

A further step was taken from March 9 to March 16, 2016. In fact, 77 students of the first batch of " Master’s in Engineering " (MEng) trained in the framework of the cooperation between the NASPW and the Department of Civil Engineering, Architectural and Environmental Engineering of the University of Padua present their end-of-studies memoirs, thus marking the end of their training course.

In mid-April 2016, a first group of students attending specialized Master's courses, in turn defend their end-of-studies memoirs, completing their training as well.
