The Environmental Engineering club organized a Talk on Monday April 12, 2021 on the theme "QHSE and safety at the site", with NGAPPE Cliford, Engineer in Environmental Engineering from the fourth batch of the ENSTP, as a trainer
The trainer dwelled on QHSE (area of technical expertise controlling aspects related to quality, occupational risks and the environment within organizations in order to lead to an Integrated Management System). The learners also learned that QHSE is a very important discipline for any type of engineer as it increases the employability of the latter.
Various activities carried out by a QHSE manager in a company or on a site were also mentioned by the trainer:
- Development of a risk map;
- Definition of risk prevention measures;
- Monitoring of the implementation of risk prevention actions;
- Assessment of occupational risks linked to a site or a project;
- Analysis of occupational health and safety risks;
- Control of the application of QHSE procedures;
- Coordination and implementation of QHSE actions;
- Identify violations, non-conformities, risks to the safety and health of personnel and notify them to the owners and contractors.
