University cooperation

PRESENTATION OF UNIVERSITY COOPERATION

The internationalization of higher education organizations is a recent phenomenon promoted by the "World Declaration on Higher Education for the 21st Century" and the “Priority Action Framework for Change and Development of Higher Education". Promoted in 1998, these texts promote international cooperation and exchange as instruments of reinforcement and development of a better quality education for all.

THE GREAT DATES OF COOPERATION

After a year of talks, the Ministry of Public Works and the University of Padua signed in July 26, 2010, a memorandum of understanding under which the two structures undertake on the one hand to facilitate cultural exchanges in the training and research sectors, and to develop on the other hand joint programs.

MAIN RESULTS ACHIEVED

Six years of intense collaboration have permitted to achieve the following results:

1. The entrance examination for the NASPW is reformed and provides for close cooperation between the two institutions during all phases of the selection process;
2. Thanks to a direct collaboration of the Italian lecturers, the NASPW proposes to its students a program of studies in Civil Engineering and in Environmental Engineering worthy of a training institute of the engineers ...

PROSPECTS

1. Offer to the best students the opportunity to do a 3^rd cycle of study;
2. Intensify and diversify mobility so that it interests both students and lecturers, whether Cameroonians or Italians;
3. Improve laboratory equipment;
4. Strengthen the training offer by proposing new training courses that meet the needs of Cameroon;
5. Support the professional integration of students leaving the NASPW.
